UNICEF: Giga Connect Seeks to Scale

Elon Musk, the South African entrepreneur who has launched and runs a number of successful technology companies in the United States, including Tesla, Starlink, and SpaceX, has donated a substantial amount to the UNICEF Giga Connect initiative.

On the works, besides the financial contribution, is the possibility of collaboration with his companies in the areas of cryptocurrency, healthcare, and telecommunication.

Giga aims to connect every school in the world to high-speed Internet. They have launched an interactive map to monitor the availability of connection and the speed in each city. The mapping will help governments, international organizations, and the private sector to deliver better education programs, products, and services.
