EU Signs Free Trade Agreement with New Zealand
Listen to my interview with Ambassador John Clarke, Director of International Affairs/Trade Negotiations, European Commission Directorate-General for Agriculture, and former EU mission head to the WTO and the UN and its agencies in Geneva. Ambassador Clarke is an Uruguay Round veteran.
He was the lead negotiator of the Free Trade Agreement between the European Union and New Zealand. We spoke about agriculture (what is in, what is out), the very important provision of sustainability in the agreement, and what does this FTA means for future free trade agreements in other regions and for Mercosur.
