The UN Brief interviewed Jean-Philippe de Schrevel, founder and managing director of Bamboo Capital Partners, an investment fund dedicated to impact investing in emerging economies.

He is a pioneer in the sector of impact investing. In 2001, Jean-Philippe co-founded BlueOrchard Finance, one of the first commercial lenders to microfinance banks.

The UN Sustainable Development Goals provides a framework to compare notes and measure progress.

Jean-Philippe has launched eight investment funds to date, and raised over one billion USD across a variety of asset classes: fixed income, private equity, venture capital, and structured finance. His investments’ focus is on microfinance, energy, healthcare, education, agribusiness, and affordable housing.
