When I was attending Columbia University I took several classes at Barnard College. One of my favorite classes was in the history of American feminism, where I was introduced to the American civil liberties lawyer and congresswoman Bella Abzug, and her writings. Abzug's campaign slogan the first time she run for public office was, "This woman's place is in the House—the House of Representatives".
