The UN Brief interviewed Géraldine Le Meur, the French-American VC, on the launch of a new investment fund, Le Fonds, that focuses on French-speaking entrepreneurs with global ambitions. They will invest on early-stage through Series A.
She joined FrenchFounders Inc. as a partner and to lead Le Fonds, in November of 2020. Geraldine was the co-founder of LeWeb, the Paris tech conference that brought Silicon Valley key players to Europe in the mid-2000’s. As an angel investor for the last 20 years, she invested on LinkedIn, LendingClub, Evernote, and WP Engine.
In 2016, she co-founded The Refiners, a San Francisco based pre-seed fund and program devoted to foreign founders that wanted to settle in the US. In the Refiners Fund she backed and invested in 56 companies.
In February 2019, she published "Step It Up: How French Women Hack Work-Life Balance" to demystify female entrepreneurship and help women connect to role models grounded in real life.
