Paris Peace Forum
On the 10th and 11th of November the 6th edition of the Paris Peace Forum will take place at Palais Brongniart, bringing together diplomats, government leaders and heads-of-state, UN and EU officials, private sector, academics and NGOs. I spoke via Zoom with Justin Vaisse, Founder and Director General of the Paris Peace Forum, on this years’ programme, and the mission of the PPF.
This year they will give continuity to the June debates organised by the French government to finance climate action and development and a new financial pact.
Highlights include the summit to discuss disinformation with Jacinda Ardern, former Prime Minister of New Zealand and President Emmanuel Macron on the Christchurch Call, which requires social media platforms to remove terrorist attacks’ footage, and other disturbing content that further radicalizes youth, within one hour maximum of being posted.
Representatives from Microsoft, TikTok, Anthropic, and other technology companies will be sharing their views and latest data on generative AI, and the current and potential uses of Large Language Models, LLMs.
