Global Innovation Index (GII) 2024

The Global Innovation Index (GII) 2024, published by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in collaboration with the Portulans Institute from Washington DC, ranks Switzerland, Sweden, the United States, Singapore, and the United Kingdom as the world’s most innovative economies. Over the past decade, China, Türkiye, India, Viet Nam, and the Philippines have shown the fastest upward trajectory in innovation rankings. But how is that measured? Is funding for women-led startups and scale-ups measured? Is public finding for women researchers examined?
