President Obama signed major pieces of legislation during his mandate to protect women’s rights, reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act, and the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, the first legislation he signed into law.
Trump came in and tried to undo what little progress American women have made to ensure their political and civil rights in the last 50 plus years, and impacted women around the world, who relied on international aid to protect their reproductive rights.
